Comparison of advantages and disadvantages of four household power generation systems

- Feb 15, 2019-

1. Household diesel generator

Diesel generators are very common for rural families and are used in rural areas. I remember that when the editor was a child, there was a diesel generator at home, mainly to deal with power outages and pumping in the field.

Advantages: high diesel heat energy; low price; diesel generator cost is relatively low; easy to carry;

Disadvantages: high noise; high problem occurrence rate; low usage rate and poor power generation capability.

Utility Index ★★

2, domestic gasoline generator

Gasoline generators are similar to diesel generators and are more common in rural areas.

Advantages: less noise than diesel engine; small volume; easy to carry;

Disadvantages: Non-clean energy use costs are higher; usage rate is as low as diesel engine; noise is high; generator price is relatively high; power generation capacity is very poor.

Utility Index ★★

3, home wind power system

Compared with diesel generators or gasoline generators, wind power generation needs to be equipped with electrical components such as controllers, accumulators, and inverters to form a system.

Advantages: low cost of use; high efficiency, can store electricity for household appliances; clean energy can save electricity costs;

Disadvantages: Poor mobility, need to be installed in a special location; high installation cost; too restrictive use area, need special geographical environment; low power generation capacity.

Utility Index ★★★★

4, home solar power system

Similar to wind power systems, it is necessary to work with electrical components to make a system.

Advantages: Compared with wind power generation, the use area is wider; the use efficiency is higher; it can be connected with the mains, and the surplus electricity can be sold to generate income; the use cost is low; the clean energy can save electricity expenses; the power generation capacity is high.
