Photovoltaic power system design requirements

Before designing a PV system, you need to understand and obtain some basic data necessary for calculations and equipment selection: such as the location of the PV system installation, including location, latitude, longitude and altitude; meteorological data for the area, including monthly total solar radiation, direct radiation and scattered radiation, annual average temperature and highest and lowest temperatures. The designed solar system is advanced, complete, scalable, and intelligent to ensure system safety, reliability and economy.

 

(1) Advanced. As the country pays more and more attention to renewable energy, the development and utilization of renewable energy is already the development trend of new energy strategy. According to the characteristics of local solar sunshine conditions, power supply facilities and power load, choose to use solar energy resources to build PV power system, which is energy-saving and environmentally friendly, and can avoid the huge investment in laying electricity cables from the city power supply (away from the power load of the mains power supply. It is an advanced power construction program.

 

(2) Integrity. The solar power system includes: solar panels, batteries, controllers, inverters and so on. The photovoltaic system can independently supply power to the outside world, and can also be matched with other power loads and utility power sources to form a complete off-grid and grid-connected photovoltaic power system. The solar power system should have a complete control system, energy storage system, power conversion system, lightning protection grounding system, etc. to form a unified whole with completeness.

 

(3) Scalability. With the rapid development of solar photovoltaic power generation technology, the function of solar PV system will become more and more powerful. This requires that the photovoltaic power system can adapt to the expansion and upgrade of the system. The solar modules of the PV system should be composed of parallel modules. When the system needs to be expanded, the solar module can be directly connected in parallel, and the controller or inverter can also be installed. The modular structure should be adopted. When the system needs to be upgraded, the module can be directly expanded, and the original equipment and modules can be retained to make the photovoltaic power generation system have good scalability.

 

(4) The degree of intelligence. The designed solar photovoltaic power system should not require any manual operation during use. The controller can control the output of the load terminal according to the capacity status of the solar cell module and the battery. All functions are automatically controlled by the microprocessor, and the working state of the solar photovoltaic power generation system should be detected in real time, and the main components of the photovoltaic power generation system are collected periodically or in real time. Status data is uploaded to the Control  Center. Through computer analysis, the working status of the equipment is grasped in real time, and the fault alarm information is issued for the equipment with abnormal working status, so that the maintenance personnel can eliminate the fault in advance and ensure the reliability of the power supply.
